Minky Fabric
Also known as Minkee, is a super soft Solid color fabric made of 100% Polyester that is very warm. Made out of 100% polyester fiber or microfiber and comes in many colors and textures. It was originally used for babies blankets due to its soft feel, heavyweight, permanency, and durability.
Neoprene Fabric
Neoprene is a sold or rubber latex form used in a wide variety of applications, such as automotive, medical, diving garments, orthopedic braces (wrist, knee, etc.), electrical insulation, liquid and sheet applied elastomeric membranes or flashings, and automotive fan belts among many others.
Nylon Fabric
Nylon is basically a polymer, it is a plastic that has a molecular structure of a large number of similar units bonded together. Nylon does not absorb moisture so sweat is trapped against your skin, which creates a breeding ground for odor and fungal infection.
Organza Fabric
Organza is a lightweight, sheer, plain-woven fabric, originally made from silk. It is now commonly made out of synthetic fibers, primarily polyester and nylon to make it more affordable. Synthetic fabrics are slightly more durable, but the fabric is very delicate and prone to frays and tears. Its smooth and delicate appearance can make you question its durability, which otherwise, is quite strong.
Outdoor Fabric
This refers to a wide variety of different fabrics that is strong enough that can be used for outdoor uses like furniture or decoration such as waxed cotton, canvas, nylon, etc.
Poly Cotton Fabric
Poly-Cotton is a blended fabric that is made up of cotton and polyester fibers. The composition can vary from 65% cotton and 35% polyester being the most common. 50/50 blends are also easily found.
Shaggy Fabric.
Shaggy fabric refers to a type of material characterized by its long, soft, and textured pile, giving it a "shaggy" or fluffy appearance. Often made from synthetic fibers like acrylic or polyester, it is commonly used for making cozy items such as rugs, blankets, coats, and decorative accents due to its warm and Soft feel.
Polyester Fabric
Polyester is the generic name for synthetic fibers made of (PET) usually derived from petroleum. Natural polyesters and a few synthetic ones are biodegradable, but most synthetic polyesters are not. Polyester is commonly shrink proof, retains shape, and is wrinkle, breathable, and moth resistant. At high temperatures, polyesters tend to shrink away from flames and self-extinguish upon ignition. Its fibers have high tenacity as well as low water absorption and minimal shrinkage in comparison with other fibers.
Quilting Fabric
Quilting fabrics are commonly two layers of fabric sewed together. Usually, quilting is used to create more padding on fabrics as seen on some bed covers, and their decorative fabric works. Quilting cotton tends to be stiffer than apparel cotton. It isn't particularly soft and has a stiff drape.
Ribbing Fabric
Ribbing fabric is easily identified due to its vertical ribs. It is made using a double bed knitting machine that has two needles with vertical textured lines. Commonly used as socks, sleeves, waists, and necklines.
Satin Fabric
Satin is a smooth, lustrous silk fabric woven with floating yarns in the warp in many variations. Commonly made of silk, rayon, acetate, nylon, or combinations of these yarns. It is characterized by a soft, lustrous surface on one side, with a duller surface on the other side.
Sequins Fabric
Sequin fabric is a type of fabric covered with plastic or metal-shaped pieces of different sizes, shapes, colors, and patterns. It is commonly used on lightweight fabric like tulle or chiffon.
Sherpa Fabric
Sherpa is a fabric commonly used in jackets or sweaters due to its resemblance to wool or sheepskin, ideal for winter wear. Its texture is fluffy and soft to the touch, a curly piled fabric made of synthetic yarns.
Silk Fabric
Silk is a natural protein fiber, that is frequently turned into textiles. The best-quality silk comes from cocoons made by a larva called Bombyx mori. The particular glossy appearance of silk, comes from their triangular fibers prism-like which allows silk cloth to refract incoming light at different angles. Silk is produced by several insects, but only the silk of moth caterpillars has been used for textile manufacture.
Spandex Fabric
Also known as Lycra, Spandex´s principal characteristic is its elasticity, it is a lightweight, soft smooth synthetic fiber made of a synthetic polymer called polyurethane which has an extraordinary stretch ability. It is mainly made of 85% polyurethane.
Suede Fabric
Traditional suede is made out of animal´s hide such as goats, pigs, and others. However, due to its high cost, suede is now made from polyester fibers which makes it easier to clean and maintain. Commonly used for home upholstery, furniture upholstery, drapery, home décor, apparel, and some auto upholstery.
Taffeta Fabric
Taffeta is a fabric similar to silk, it is crisp and plain-woven but it is mainly manufactured with polyester, nylon, acetate, or other synthetic fibers. Taffeta fabric has a lustrous, shiny appearance and smooth to the touch.
Twill Fabric
Twill is a plain-weave very strong fabric due to the yarns used are packed very close together, this heavyweight fabric is perfect for pants, jeans, and jackets.
Upholstery Fabric
It´s the work of covering furniture, especially seats and sofas with padding, springs, webbing, and fabric or leather covers. It comes to the English word upholder, referring to an artisan who makes fabric furnishings.
Velboa Faux Fur Fabric
The Velboa Faux Fur is a soft, cuddle fabric that mimics animal skin in design and strength. Made out of 100% Polyester which makes it the main feature, is a short pile faux fux and is very soft and cuddle. Its strenght makes it ideal for making tough wear.
Velvet Fabric
Velvet is a mixture of several fabrics made from various fibers in different weights. These fibers are cut and brushed to form a pile or left uncut. Originally velvet was made of silk but pure velvet is rare and extremely expensive. Now is made with cotton or other synthetic fibers.
Velvet Spandex Fabric
Velvet is a mixture of several fibers from different weights, Spandex Velvet includes elastane and that´s where it gets its stretchy form. Commonly velvet is not stretchy.
Wool Fabric
Wool is originally made from the natural fibers that form the fleece of animals such as sheep, goats, rabbits, camels, etc. Now it´s common to get wool combined with polyester and other synthetic fibers. Wool is a crimped, elastic fabric, and it grows in clusters. The main characteristic of wool is the ability to retain air because of the crimp, it causes insulation in both ways which makes it perfect for winter clothes.

Leftover fabric pieces that are too small for standard use or sale, often repurposed for arts and crafts projects. Scrap boxes typically contain a variety of these fabric remnants for creative applications.
Animal Fabric
Fabrics designed to imitate animal textures or patterns, such as faux fur resembling animal skins or printed designs like giraffe or leopard patterns on materials like poly cotton. Commonly used for costumes, decor, and fashion projects.
