Care Instructions for Satin Fabric

Washing Tips

  • Hand washing is recommended for best results, but if machine washing, use the delicate cycle with cold water.
  • If hand washing, add a mild detergent to cool water and let the fabric soak for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cool water.
  • Do not wring or twist the fabric, as this can cause creases and damage the fibers.
  • Turn satin inside out before washing to protect its smooth surface.

Drying Tips

  • Never use a dryer, as heat can damage the delicate fibers.
  • Avoid direct sunlight when drying to prevent fading.

Temperature Tips

  • Always use cold water to wash satin to preserve its sheen and softness.
  • Air drying is best to prevent shrinkage and damage.
  • Steam is preferred over ironing to maintain the fabric’s smooth texture.

Ironing Tips

  • Steam satin fabric for the best wrinkle removal.
  • If ironing is necessary, use a low heat setting and place a pressing cloth between the iron and fabric.
  • Iron inside out to avoid shine marks and fabric damage.

It is not what I thought I was getting. The fabric is super stiff and feels like paper. I was expecting a soft satin. And the color is way brighter blue than I thought as well. It seemed like it was going to be a lighter blue from the way online looks.
