Big Z fabric is proud to introduce our new and unique Neoprene Scuba Techno Athletic Double Knit All-purpose Fabric to our fine line of fabric. Techno fabrics are sophisticated high-tech fabrics made of synthetic yarns or fabrics with dips which acts technical, cool and artificial. To begin with, this elegant fabric is made of 96% polyester with 6% spandex material allowing the textile to have a slight stretch. Along with the contents of this illustrious fabric, the product has a solid pattern with a base color that also matches the back end of the fabric (except the fuchsia and heather gray colors). This intriguing techno fabric comes in various colors and has a width of 58" inches suitable for athletic activewear, leggings, clothing and much more. This fabric is sold and shipped only by the yard and in continuous yards.

Washing Tips

  • Hand wash is recommended using cold water to maintain the integrity of both the neoprene and the double knit structure.
  • Use a mild detergent—ideally one formulated for delicate or technical fabrics—and avoid bleach or fabric softeners.
  • If machine washing is necessary, use a gentle cycle and place the fabric in a mesh laundry bag to reduce friction.
  • Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric; instead, gently press out excess water.

Drying Tips

  • Lay flat to dry on a clean, absorbent surface in a shaded, well-ventilated area.
  • Avoid tumble drying, as the heat and agitation can distort the fabric’s structure.
  • If hanging, use a padded hanger or lay the fabric flat to prevent stretching or creasing.

Temperature Tips

  • Always use cold water during washing to protect the neoprene and knit fibers.
  • Avoid high heat in both washing and drying—excessive heat can damage the material and reduce its elasticity.
  • Keep the fabric out of direct sunlight while drying to prevent any color fading or degradation.

Ironing Tips

  • Do not iron this fabric, as the direct heat can melt or permanently damage the neoprene.
  • If wrinkles must be reduced, opt for a hand-held steamer held at a safe distance, or hang the garment in a steamy bathroom to allow the wrinkles to relax naturally.

GREAT QUALITY *BUT* buy a swatch first

Let me start by saying the quality and functionality of the fabric was perfect, and I LOVE it. I want to buy more.
But...
The colour in the listing for Denim (the only one I bought to try it out) is VERY FALSE. It's so misleading in it's listing that it makes me nervous to get other colours, but this is something I want to use more and intend on purchasing the entire swatch pack first!

So that's my advice. Start with the swatch pack! The quality is amazing and I'm so excited to try more. I just wish I got the colour I intended on to start with. Denim is listed as quite dark, and what I received was essentially nearly baby blue.
